【Source】:  pine pollen is the sperm cell of the pistil of pine tree, also known as Songhuang. It is the pure and dry pollen of Pinus massoniana Lamb. or Pinus tabulaeformis Carr.
【Distribution】: it is found in mountainous areas, etc. Distributed in China’s Huaihe River Basin, Hanshui River Basin and Yangtze River Basin provinces, as well as Fujian, Guangdong, Yunnan and other places.
【Harvest of raw pine pollen】:  when flowering in spring, the male flower panicles/catkins are picked, dried, and then the pollen is rubbed, the impurities are screened and placed in a dry place.
【Properties of raw pine pollen】: observed under the microscope, the pollen grains are oval, with smooth surface. There is an inflated air sac on both sides. The wall of the air sac has obvious reticular texture, and the mesh is in polygonal shape.
【Production process】: Collection/wild-harvest – air drying – screening – coarse powder (40 mesh) – cracking the cell wall – superfine powder – pass the 250 mesh size sieve – packaging – testing the physical and chemical indexes – packing into 25 kilograms per fiber drum-warehousing.
